Request an Inspection in your Submit-a-Plan account.

Did you know you can request a site inspection visit from a Local Authority from within your Submit-a-Plan account!

It's easy. Simply follow the below instructions:

1. Log in to your Submit-a-Plan account.
2. Open the relevant submitted application on your screen.
3. Click on the 'Inspections' Tab.
4. Press the blue 'Request Inspection' button on the tool-bar.
5. In the request box select the type of inspection from the list, choose your desired date, decide whether you would like a morning or afternoon slot or a visit 'asap' and add any notes for the Local Authority.
6. Click 'Send'

Your request will be sent electronically to the Local Authority Building Control team who are handling your application. The Local Authority will send an electronic response to your Submit-a-Plan account either confirming the date/slot you have requested or offering an alternative. You will also receive the response in an email and text message.
